STM and the Journal Ranking Team of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) co-organized a webinar on Think.Check.Submit.(TCS) on November 2, 2022. The webinar was in Chinese and targeted researchers and scholarly communications stakeholders in China.  Dr Cenyu Shen, Quality Team Leaders of DOAJ presented an overview of the TCS initiative and explained how researchers can benefit from TCS resources. Caroline Sutton, CEO of STM, and Liying Yang, Director of CAS Library's Department of Scientometrics and Evaluation, opened the webinar. The webinar was held using the Tencent meeting platform. Dr. Cenyu Shen is the Quality Team Leader for the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), leading the team to keep DOAJ away from questionable publishing by developing relevant editorial policies, workflow and so on to deal with questionable publishers and journals. Prior to this, she was the Managing Editor for DOAJ, responsible for the journal review from China and other countries and journal training, etc. Since 2016, she has also been the DOAJ Ambassador for China to help them develop the China market. She has built the cooperation for DOAJ with Chinese scholarly societies and publishing organizations, established DOAJ's Chinese journals community, and operated the DOAJ’s Chinese social media platform to help more local journals be indexed in DOAJ. In addition, she is the advisory board member for Learned Publishing. She holds a PhD in Information Systems Science at Hanken School of Economics in Finland. She worked on open access research with a particular focus on gold open access publishing, its sustainable development and problems of questionable publishing. She authored and co-authored 6 scientific publications contained in the Web of Science, one of which have been cited for more than 700 times and ranked by The Financial Times in the 4th position among the 100 most socially influential research publications from business schools worldwide over the year 2015-2020. She has many years of research and practical experience in the field of open access publishing.

Where an event has registration fees, cancellations made in writing up to 30 days before an event are eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds can be made for cancellations received on or after 30 days prior to the event date, however, substitutions may be made free of charge at any time.

Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance. Participants are advised to take out adequate personal insurance to cover travel, accommodation, cancellation and personal effects.
