STM/CUJS China Symposium
By invitation only!
Open Science and Research Integrity in China
Supported by:
The Society of China University Journals (CUJS)
Developing programme
Late in 2022, STM collaborated with the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) to publish Open Access Publishing in China 2022. The English version has been downloaded over 600 times and a Chinese version has been distributed widely by Science Press. This report covers open science and research integrity blending together activities and initiatives that are in place globally and in China. The collaboration between STM and publishers in China will continue as CUJS and STM bring together a panel at this China Symposium in Frankfurt to discuss the same two themes - open science and research integrity.
Following short presentations by four panelists, Nicko Goncharoff, Managing Director of Osmanthus Consulting will lead a discussion that will allow the invited delegates representing STM members and publishers in China to engage in dialogue about the future practice, infrastructure, and policy implementation in these two key aspects of scholarly communications.
Tieming Zhang, President, CUJS, and Deputy Director of Journal Publishing Department of Beijing Forestry University, and a key author of the CAST/STM report, will give an update on open science in China.
Zhe Chen, Deputy Director, Digital Development Center, China National Publications Import and Export (Group) (CNPIEC) will introduce the recent release of research reports and updated plans from the Open Science Promotion Consortium (OSPC).
Liying Yang, Director of Department for Scientometrics and Research Evaluation, National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) will talk about research integrity from the research institution’s perspective while focusing on her work with the Early Warning Journal List.
Vicky Gardner, Chair, STM Open Research Committee, and Director of Policy, Taylor and Francis Group will introduce the work of the STM Committee.
