SCHOLIX is now available: Easy framework to link publications to research data
STM is proud to present to STM members the new SCHOLIX framework for the linking of research data and publications:
What is SCHOLIX?
Launched this summer, SCHOLIX provides an easy and universal linking mechanism between scholarly publications and research data. SCHOLIX runs via hubs at Crossref, DataCite and OpenAire and is available to all publishers who wish to link their publications to available research data. SCHOLIX was developed in a consortium of data repositories and publishing organisations. SCHOLIX supporters are: World Data Systems, ANDS, CCDC, OpenAire, STM, Elsevier, SpringerNature, CHORUS, Pangaea, ICPSR and more. It is one of the first outputs of STM’s work within the Research Data Alliance.
Via free one-hour webinars STM will inform its members regularly with full details about the SCHOLIX framework and assist you with its implementation. The first webinar was held on 17 November 2016 and featured the following speakers (click the link for their powerpoint presentations):
- Hylke Koers, Elsevier, Introduction to Scholix
- Geoffrey Bilder, Crossref, How SCHOLIX works using Crossref
- Martin Fenner, DataCite, How SCHOLIX works using DataCite
- Wouter Haak, Elsevier, How to start and next steps for Scholix
More webinars will follow, so please stay tuned.
