Emma Wilson is the Publishing Director, Journals, Books and Databases at the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). She leads the editorial development of these portfolios and all aspects of the publishing operations, working with a team of over 200 full time professional editors and an extensive network of academic editors. She has a particular interest in how the globalisation of research is impacting scholarly communications and has extensive experience of working with the Chinese and Indian chemistry communities. She is also interested in developing of Open Access models that suit the chemistry community. She is a member of the leadership team at the RSC and has responsibilities for shaping the priorities and direction of the entire Society. Prior to joining the RSC in 2006 she held a variety of editorial and business development roles at Elsevier.
