STM LAUNCHES TECH TRENDS 2023:

Rockband The Collaborators on World Tour

featuring their top hit: OPEN SCIENCE SONG

On April 12, at a well-attended STM US Conference in Washington DC, STM launched its newest edition of their annual Tech Trends future forecast.

This year, STM Tech Trends takes you on a world tour with the rock band The Collaborators, featuring their chart-topping hit: Open Science Song. This year’s Tech Trends focuses on cross-industry collaboration to improve scholarly communication and ensure trust and integrity in research. In a multi-user environment where diversity is the norm, everyone can tune in!

Four focus areas were identified for increased cross-industry collaboration: making Open Science easy, ensure Trust and Integrity in research, a better user experience and more shared infrastructure with easy and simple access, all aimed at serving a diverse community of researchers, scientists, readers, authors, but also funders, practitioners, engineers, doctors, concerned family members, citizens, policymakers and a new upcoming generation.

STM Tech Trends is created annually by STM’s Future Lab, a discussion forum of over 30 STM members. In a group discussion, based on the Delphi-method for technology forecasting, participants identify key technology trends that are likely to impact the STM industry between now and 2023.

Come and listen to the beat of tomorrow!
