The UNITED2ACT Summit is a virtual gathering of international stakeholders working collaboratively to address the collective challenge of paper mills in scholarly publishing.
The summit will be action-focused with an agenda comprising the following:
Lightning round presentations from community stakeholders - focusing on the ways in which paper mills are impacting them & a suggestion/idea for how to act/respond.
Open discussions — providing attendees the opportunity to collectively ideate and strategize.
Development of — and agreement on—a community/summit consensus statement on paper mills and an action plan.

The paper behind the summit
This summit is a result of an in-depth independently-researched report on paper mills that was published last June by COPE and STM. The paper identified and emphasised the importance of a community-wide effort to thwart them.
