PJ Grier

PJ Grier represents the National Network of Libraries of Medicine in the Southeastern Atlantic Region based at the Regional Medical Library at University of Maryland, Baltimore. He is the Outreach and Access Coordinator providing consulting services in e-resources, resource sharing, healthcare technology initiatives, teaching, grants administration, and member relations for 13 southeastern states, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Previously, PJ served for 8years as the library and information services director at The Delaware Academy of Medicine in Newark, DE. Prior to that PJ served for 2 years as a senior consultant in information delivery at Johnson & Johnson pharmaceuticals in Spring House, PA.  Before coming to libraries, he held various staff and operations positions at Verizon Communications for 20 years. He is Jesse Ball duPont Fund Executive Institute for Non-profit Studies graduate and a member of the Medical Library Association. He also holds committee positions and chapter memberships in various health sciences library associations in the southeastern United States. Currently he is co-authoring two manuscripts for publication. PJ has an information technology background and holds master’s degrees in public administration (Stony Brook University, NY) and library & information science (Drexel University, PA).  He earned a certificate in clinical informatics from Johns Hopkins in 2011.
