Alistair McNaught

Alistair McNaught taught A level geography for 25 years with odd bits of geology and earth sciences thrown in for good measure. A passion for enabling independent learning led him into e-learning in the mid 90’s leading to both digital and traditional publishing opportunities. The personalisation opportunities afforded by technology led him into his current role at Jisc TechDis. This service advises on the use of technology in supporting inclusive learning. Alistair has worked closely with academic library services and the publishing industry for many years now. He is very aware of the challenges in making symbols and formulae accessible to all but his message is simple “Start where you are. Build on it.” Some starting points will be offered in the session along with some Build on it  opportunities.
