Paul Lewis

Paul Lewis is Deputy Chief Executive of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) overseeing an international STM journals, books and data publishing business with supporting technology and, sales & marketing teams operating from six international hubs. He also has a wider organisational leadership role, developing RSC strategy and capabilities as well as representing the RSC in the UK and overseas to a broad range of stakeholders from RSC members to government ministers.

Prior to working at the RSC, Paul gained substantial leadership experience in the Education, Skills and Assessment sectors including Regional Director and, Product Development Director roles at Cambridge Assessment and more recently as International Director at City & Guilds. Paul also has top-tier management consulting experience working directly with UK Government Ministers to develop an education exports strategy, personally leading engagement activities that delivered over £1billion of export sales for the UK. Earlier in his career, Paul qualified as a teacher and held a Vice-Principal role at a London Further Education College. He is professionally qualified with an Honours degree and MBA. Paul is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts and, Institute of Leadership & Management.
