John Warren

John W. Warren is Director and Associate Professor in the Master of Professional Studies in Publishing program at George Washington University.

He formerly held the positions of Director of the George Mason University Press and Mason Publishing; Marketing and Sales Director at Georgetown University Press; and Director of Marketing, Publications at the RAND Corporation. He has a Masters in International Management from the School of Public Policy and Strategy at the University of California, San Diego.

He has authored several articles about publishing, including “Innovation and the Future of E-Books” (2009), for which he was the winner of the International Award for Excellence in the development of the book. Most recently he authored an open textbook on Impact in publishing for the Library Publishing Curriculum.
