Job PurposeThe Marketing Executive (ME) is responsible for maximising business growth for their portfolio or business area through the use of marketing and promotion techniques across a variety of channels.The job holder works with the Marketing Manager (MM) and is responsible for devising, planning and implementing campaigns that directly support the strategy for their area.The job holder is responsible for analysing performance against campaign goals and objectives and making recommendations for improvement.Key job accountabilities include:• Establishing and maintaining relationships with IOP Publishing’s key external stakeholders, - authors and referees, librarians, site contacts, funding bodies and agents.• Growing article submission numbers • Encouraging usage, visibility and demand for IOP products• Increasing IOP’s global subscriber base• Increasing registrations and profiled visitors to our websitesAbout you:Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:• Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills are essential, as is confidence in communication with stakeholders, as the ME will have to liaise with internal and external customers at many different levels.• Able to demonstrate an understanding of marketing concepts and has a working knowledge of variety of marketing channels and tactics to provide solutions and achieve objectives. • Has the ability to measure performance against goals, evaluate results and seek improvements.• Is proactive in seeking new ways to build on or change the current processes, workflows or practices in the marketing department. • Can write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles, to get messages across that have the desired effect on different audiences.• Has degree or professional qualification in marketing or related area.
