One of STM’s goals is to provide tools for early career publishing professionals to advance in their roles while also expanding their network in the publishing industry. To promote outreach and engagement among entry-level and experienced publishers, STM’s Early Careers Publishing Committee (ECPC) cross-company pilot mentoring scheme was launched in 2015. This webinar will provide key insights into effective cross-company mentoring: how to increase your skillset as both mentor and mentee to get the most out of mentorships

• What are the qualities of a good mentor?
• What should be within the contract and ground rules?
• What are the outcomes of successful mentoring partnerships?

The webinar will include common pitfalls to avoid, support mechanisms and how the STM scheme works.

Cancellation
Where an event has registration fees, cancellations made in writing up to 30 days before an event are eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds can be made for cancellations received on or after 30 days prior to the event date, however, substitutions may be made free of charge at any time.

Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance. Participants are advised to take out adequate personal insurance to cover travel, accommodation, cancellation and personal effects.
