STM and UN's WIPO launch 'Access to Research for Development and Innovation' (ARDI)
On 23 July 2009, STM announced a partnership with the UN World Intellectual Property Organization to launch ARDI, providing access to a range of core research technical journals to patent offices in more than 100 developing countries, including all the 50 Least Developed Countries.

Research4Life demonstrates 194% research output increase in developing countries since 2002
After the advent of the Research4Life programmes (HINARI, AGORA, OARE), analysis reveals a 194% or 6.4 fold increase in articles published in peer reviewed journals.

Publisher partners of HINARI, OARE, AGORA - information available
Available on STM's website are marketing materials, which are used by the suppporting agencies and universities for promoting HINARI, OARE, and AGORA. PDF’s of English language posters for each of the programs and a lleaflet promoting all three are available in Research4Life - Outreach Programmes. For more impact in the eligible countries, translations of these materials are underway in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Russian.

OARE launched in New YorkOARE launched in New York
On Monday, 30 October 2006, the Online Access to Research in the Environment was launched at the University Club in New York City. OARE is a public-private consortium coordinated by UNEP (United Nations Environment Program), Yale University, and STM with over 30 leading science and technology publishers and 200 scientific societies and associations. It offers one of the world's largest collections of scholarly environmental science literature to over 1,000 public and non-profit environmental institutions in more than 100 developing nations of Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe.
