Kevin Fitzpatrick

Kevin Fitzpatrick has been Senior Vice President of Business Development and Entrepreneurship at the American College of Cardiology since December 2008. Prior to coming to ACC, Fitzpatrick was Vice President of Business Development with Lippincott Williams and Wilkins Wolters Kluwer Health.

With his long history in the health sector, Fitzpatrick brings to the College a profound understanding of the business side of medicine, including medical and health publishing and content development, professional relations and marketing, health information technology, and health sector entrepreneurship. Before joining the executive team at Lippincott Williams in 2003, Kevin served as vice president for professional relations and executive editor at Medem, Inc. Kevin is by training a physician assistant who has served in various capacities at Yale New Haven Hospital and Duke University Medical Center.

Kevin was honored with the Wolters Kluwer Sales Pinnacle Club award in 2007 and the Wolters Kluwer President's Values award in 2004. He is also the recipient of the Smithsonian Institution/Computer World Healthcare Computing Innovation Award. He is a member of the Society for Scholarly Publishing, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the American Association of Medical Society Executives and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Kevin is a published author with expertise in health systems development, health analytics, and health information technology. He is a founder and serves on the editorial board of a new medical journal, Medical Innovation & Business.

Fitzpatrick's division at ACC oversees and coordinates all of the College's domestic and international development, grant solicitation, peer review publishing and revenue generating activities across all divisions. He also oversees and stimulates new ACC business development and entrepreneurial initiatives.
