Kathey Alexander

Kathey Alexander established her publishing consulting business in 2001, and now provides a broad range of services to professional and scholarly societies and associations, including strategic and operational audits to analyze performance of existing publishing programs; exploring new business opportunities;  managing the society journal RFP process; directing Editor-in-Chief search processes; and serving as publishing liaison between society and publisher.

Kathey’s 20 years of experience in medical publishing encompassed all aspects of commercial and society publishing.  Until 2001, Kathey was Executive Vice President of Professional Publishing for Lippincott Williams and Wilkins, where she was responsible for the medical book lines, over 100 journals (propriety and society owned), controlled circulation newspapers, and newsletters.
