Janet O’Flaherty

Janet O’Flaherty has been working at BMJ for since 1997, and since 2008 as Publisher in BMJ’s journals division with financial and strategic responsibility for a third of its journals portfolio. From 1987-96 she worked in Canada at a small commercial medical publishing company, including holding the position of Vice-President. Her publishing career started at the British Veterinary Association, whose journals BMJ now publishes and for which she is the Publisher. Janet studied biochemistry and medical cell biology at Liverpool University before embarking on her publishing career.
