Daniel Schiff
I am currently VP and Publisher, Journals, at Thieme New York as well as Director of Thieme-India. I started my career as a neuroscientist in the USA, Italy and Germany, before switching to STM publishing in the UK, USA and France. My past 20 years in STM publishing, have granted me progressively greater roles at Pergamon Press, then Elsevier, and now Thieme Verlag. I also was an entrepreneurial deal-maker doing M&A in STM/Legal publishing in Paris for three years in the early 2000s. Over my career, I have managed over 300 journals, and carried through a dozen acquisitions of publishing houses. I am currently based in Paris. My interests are in working on developing reference perennial economic models in the current changing market place and on developing sturdy metrics to measure the positioning and development of knowledge dissemination tools.
