STM & ALPSP issue statement on 'ownership' of and access to data

Publishers recognise that data itself is now a key output of research. There is considerable controversy in the scholarly community about 'ownership' and access. STM (International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers) and ALPSP (Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers) have issued a statement which could serve as guidance for publishers in their policies concerning data sets submitted with papers. To download the statement, please go to 'Documents, Statements, Public Correspondence.' Press release available.
