STM Sustainability: Redefining Impact 2023

STM Sustainability | 7 December

What’s this?

An opportunity to exchange the latest trends on sustainability across research publishing and higher education. Equally an opportunity to set the future agenda for your publisher and the industry through engagement with the SDG Sustainability Roadmap, for those starting out, making progress, and pushing the industry forward.  This day is part of STM Week in London — being held at BMA House.

What to expect?

Kicking off with expert views coupled with a collaborative, hands-on workshop. Here you will:

  • Understand the future of sustainability across publishing and higher education, developing shared priorities for the research sector including policy and societal impact.
  • Learn about the latest actions on sustainability – from carbon calculator to offsetting principles.
  • Explore SDG progress through posters from STM Member Publisher Compact signatories
  • Interact with the SDG Sustainability Roadmap — foregrounding tools and best practice approaches from other publishers.

Who attends?

Individuals who share a commitment to sustainability and progressing the SDG Publisher Compact.  The meeting is designed for leaders in research publishing, from publishers, publishing directors, and those leading SDG implementation at publishers.   From those just starting out on their sustainability journey to those who want to lead the industry and inspire transformational change.
